Proposed Youth Sports Complex in
Smithfield, VA
RMD was acquired by the Isle of Wight Athletic Association to develop a premier youth sports complex as part of an activity center located in Isle of Wight County, VA. The proposed location is in an area known as William Benns Grant Development. The complex would be owned and operated by the IWAA, a public section 501c(3) charitable association that provides a sports experience to local Isle of Wight area children ranging for 5-16 years old. The study evaluated the economic feasibility of an indoor and outdoor complex not only for local youth but also as a national tournament facility.
The economic and market feasibility for a wood bat collegiate stadium was also explored through this study. |

Proposed Youth Complex in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Cypress Mounds, LLC requested feasibility and design work to be completed by RMD for the viability of a high end, first class, synthetic tournament and league facility in one of the fastest growing areas in Baton Rouge. With the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina doubling the cities’ population and turning it into the states population and business capital overnight, detailed and in depth demographical analysis was key to the success of this project. A six field complex was proposed and is currently undergoing final design work and a construction document phase has been arranged. This complex will be on of the top facilities in the nation as far as field quality, but more importantly will serve as a gathering place for both old and new citizens of Baton Rouge. |
